You also might want to check the front to back level. The back is supposed to be higher than the front so it's not cutting the grass twice. I believe there was an earlier post within the last year on leveling decks.

My 4100 with 60" mmm cuts poorly when the turf is soggy. Its mostly a function of the machine being so heavy that the grass gets packed down by the wheels and then the mower doesn't have enough suction to pull it upright for an even cut. It also doesn't have enough suction to cleanly deal with re-mowing windrows of heavy clippings that have been compacted by the tires.

It does a better job on dry grass at lower cut heights, and for the best cut, I go in a pattern where I cut everything twice.

Higher loft blades would probably help assuming the tractor has enough power to spin them.

I believe the front of the deck should be a little higher. This allows air flow under the deck. The blades do cut twice higher in the front, your selected height in the rear. To have a good vacuum you have to allow air in. Speed is important depending on conditions. Blades overlap in straight forward cut only. Turning left or right blades they do not overlap. The front blade should not be more than 1/4 inch higher, perfect at 1/8 inch. Blade rotation in traveling forward, half the blade is traveling backwards.
