Does anyone know if I can sell parts for a JD on this forum??

In looking at the JD parts web site this appears to be an Eaton style HST and I would suspect that the large reservoir was more for running the mower decks Vs the HST. I was unable to determine what all of the lines / hoses were connected to though. I am not sure but I would expect the charge pump flow to be returned or dumped into the HST case for cooling flow. This flow would then have to go back to the reservoir. Like watersteps stated the schematics would be a huge help in determining what lines are required.

OK the pic's came through, I still cannot find any numbers on this transaxle.
Looking at the right picture, at the top of the trans you see the charge pump, the line on the left went to the reservoir and the smaller line on the right went to the steering. The T on the right of the filter went to the steering ???? and the line on the bottom (not shown in the pic) went to the reservoir.

Here is what I have on eaton. It also looks like you have wheel motors. Yours looks a little different then my Eaton 11. If the HP was 10hp and under it could be the Eaton 8. Roy was right about it being a Eaton, I was thinking the same by the way you were talking.

You can sell any parts in the private party ads forum of TBN.
Page 5 of the 2nd pdf file shows where the id plate of the unit is located, under the shaft on a plate on the flat portion of the finned endplate.

OK after I opened the files from Leejohn I understand how the system works. The charge pump take oil from the reservoir and boosts the pressure and sends it to the hydrostatic pump and then back to the reservoir.
My unit has a T fitting below the filter, the line from the charge pump supplies oil to the hydrostatic pump through this T and any extra oil goes to the steering unit to help with it's function. This last bit of info came from the JD Tech manual.

Thanks to everyone for their help.
