My brother got three quotes today on a 2210 w/ 54" mower, 210 loader and a snowblower.

Yikes indeed. my 2210 is equiped; 210 loader, 62"mower, 72" back blade(too big for this tractor) and 54" tiller (Frontier brand blade and tiller), engine heater and HDAP tires... $14500. a X595 would be nicer yet but had a bigger price.

My 2210 w/ 210 FEL and 62MMM was around $12,900 last September.. (I bought many other attachments, but wanted to keep it simple for discussion,) BTW, they are now being advertised for ~$12,500 now around Indiana and Ohio. Subtract ~$500 for the 54” deck. The snow blower is no cheep option. I purchased one about 7 or 8 years ago for my 445. For the blower, front PTO, brackets and stuff, this two-stage blower ran ~$2200. It is probable a bit more now. The two quotes in the $15k are not too bad, the $17k is way out. I did a lot of comparisons with the X595 and by the time you got the FEL, rear 3pt and rear PTO you would have about $1500 more in the X than the 2210 and you would not have the heavier CAT 1 3pt lift capacity, the beefier 210 FEL (620#’s Vs ~400# lift capacity) or the two speed Hydro.

I was considering an X-series before I bought my GT. It was too much tractor for what I needed. I prefer the tractor itself over the 2210, but the bucket loader on the x-series looks too weird with the cross bar over the hood. The 2210 would be perfect for my brother though.

It's as simple as can be: Pull pins and turn guide rollers (4) 90 degrees, lower deck to ground, disconnect quick coupler on drive shaft, pull 2 quick pins, slide off front guide bar, raise rockshaft control, and then push mower with foot out from under tractor.

When rolling the mower from underneath the tractor. Be aware of the filter on the rear axle. The MMM wheel post can hit and dent (Puncture) the filter.

I've heard this mentioned, but when I last removed the MMM, for the life of me I couldn't figure out how that could happen. I know that probably means I'll be the next one posting a warning. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

<font color="green"> As Bob mentioned it is the adjusting post on the gauge wheel sticking up that can smack the filter real good if you don't slide the MMM in nice and straight. It happened to me. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
