Hello- I'm looking at a 2210 with FEL, a rotary mower and perhaps a box blade. Initially we will use the 2210 for some land preparation around our new place- putting in a lawn, moving some dirt, some minor driveway grading etc. We would eventually be using it as a finish mower around the house and to rotary mow some fields. My quesiton is- how much does the MMM get in the way or other chores, and is the MMM easy to take on and off? Thanks.

Like most MMM'ers, it does get in the way of some of those heavier chores. The 2210 MMM is VERY easy to remove. I wish my 4110 MMM was that easy, even though it's not too bad.

I have not had a problem with the mower getting in the way. I have done loader work, used a tiller & landscape rake & also used a front mount grader blade with the MMM attached.
These were all quick jobs & the mower did not have any effect on how I completed the work. If I were going to do alot of work I would remove the mower. The mower is very easy to remove.

Ditto the above posts. The mower really doesn't get in the way, and if it does, it is really easy to remove.

Just a side comment: I err on the side of removing my MMM if I think there is any possibility that I will catch the deck on something or drive a corner into the dirt. The extra five minutes of precaution is a small cost compared to having to straighten or replace components of the deck lift and suspension assembly. Yes, I gained this philosophy from experience /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Thanks to all- the dealer initally told me the MMM would be difficult to remove. Clearly, not the case.

Just a side comment - You'll LOVE the cutting action of that MMM! It gives me one very nice looking lawn - Get a lot of nice comments. Just keep the underneath cleaned out (I scrape it every 3 or 4 cuttings) and those 3 blades sharp. It'l do a great job for you!
