I noticed in my latest Northern Tool Catalog they are carring a full line of Robin/Suburu engines including the 22hp v-twin at a cost of $1,299.

The item pictured has the shaft on one end only. Doesn't PT mount pumps on both ends of the engine?

See taht plastic grill? Look at the shaft stub behind it. Cut a hole in the grill or remove it altogether. Now you have a shaft on each side of the motor.
Same thing for the Kohler.

The current Kohler and Robin engines do not exactly use a stub shaft on the flywheel side.
The engine side of the lovejoy style connector bolts directly to the flywheel with the flywheel bolts and uses the end of the shaft for the flywheel as a pilot to center the Lovejoy style connector.
The older Kohler motors did use a stub shaft on the flywheel. I do not know at what serial number the change was made to mounting the Lovejoy connector directly to the flywheel. If anyone needs the old Kohler stub shaft, I have one taking up space in the garage.
