2182 vs 1782

Other than the obvious, gas and diesel, 17 and 21 horsepower, which one will mow better with a 60 inch deck. I have a 1782 and am looking at a 2182, don't need it, just want one. Is there a noticeable difference in power? Thanks for any posts.

The diesel is the better unit IMHO , its a Kubtoa diesel better low end torque

I forget if the 2182 is a liquid cooled motor or is it air cooled Kohler?

Longevity is in the diesels favor

The 2182 has the three cylinder Kubota gas.

Yep, the 2182 has the gasoline powered version of the 3 cylinder Kubota. Still an excellent engine with a very long 3000+ hour projected lifespan.
