I just changed the mower blades on my 2155. The instructions on the new blades show 2 pins on the drive shaft flange that go into 2 holes in the blades to prevent them from turning on the shaft. My mower didn't have the pins. The original blades were just squeezed between the flange and a large washer by the retaining nut. The blades fit fine, just the same as the originals. It seems like the pins would prevent any turning on the shaft which would be a good idea. Does anyone know anything about this? There are no holes in the flange where pins could be inserted.

It sounds like you bought aftermarket blades. If this is so, then you also have to buy the adapter. They should sell them at the same place you bought the blades.
