HOLY MOLY, I just got my 2038R today and decided to try it out for a few mins tonight and I shut it off 3 times before letting it run as I thought there was something wrong with it. IT IS SO LOUD you cannot hear the engine and can barely hear the blades over the WHINE and METALLIC HOWL - it reminds me of a HYDRO WHINE and a lot of scraping/grinding metal - I didn't see anything wrong and it cut but good heavens its unbelievable. I will definitely have to wear shooting protective earmuffs as well. Its as loud as any combine whine I can remember and spins up about as radical.
Is it designed to be that way? does anyone else have one ? is yours loud like that?
I have an entire 3.7 hours on it so I doing think its worn out yet.
