Looks like a mule 610 or 40 10 Like the mule I'm replacing with this new one . my old one is a 4010 trans 6 seater .
Kawsaki dealer doesn't have a real glass windshield. I've been looking at the fortress brand @ $1400.00 It's a real nice windshield

I have a glass windshield on my older Mule 4010 and I really like it.

I've been looking for a glass windshield for my new 1000 HD but when I find one, it says that it must be removed when hauled on a trailer, or you must use an enclosed trailer to haul it.

I haul mine to job sites and to the deer camp quite often. I don't own an enclosed trailer. I would not want to remove the windshield every time I haul it.

I don't remove the glass windshield on my older mule, and we still haul it to job sites often with no issues.

Probably the same reason they recommend covering tractor glass windshield before transporting on a trailer. The tow rig could kick up rock, or another rig kick up rock that shatters glass windshield. I saw a large JD tractor, on a trailer, in the parking lot of a restaurant a few years back with shattered windshield. Glass all over the trailer.

Ive transported mine several times, and always worry this could happen. If i trailered it alot id invest on the blanket.

I take my glass windshield kawasaki 4010 to occasional horse shows on my trailer, but always load it backwards. The expanded metal rear on the cab prevents anything from reaching the windshield.

I've only had the lexan type on my 4010 trans mule, which I'm going to sell.
Unless I find a different brand, I'm most likely going with the fortress brand for my new mule

There are warning stickers in the cab of my HD10 about towing backwards. Supposedly suction from towing at speed and vehicles going in the other direction can rip the windshield off. But I won't tow it facing forward on the trailer because of rock hits (my towing is mainly on gravel roads). Solution was simple - tow it backwards, but put a couple small ratchet straps around the windshield, top and bottom, to securely snug it in place. To protect the rear cab window from rocks I made a simple and light plywood shield that fits in the stake pockets on the bed. I've towed thousands of miles this way now with no problem.
