Very Nice Truck!

Ended up buying one. We are really pleased with it. Took it on a trip last week and got 24mph so not too bad for a 5100lb vehicle that is shaped like a brick.

I have never seen a more overbuilt engine in my life. Everything about it was designed to go 500k. The air filter was a cyclonic filter that could hold like 15 lbs of dirt. It was ridiculous how well that thing was made.

It was my first purchase in 2003 when I first started to make coin. It was used and had 100k miles, even with those miles everything was still in great shape. Even the seats were like new. It was triple locked and it could go anywhere, literally. It converted me for life.

It may just be the best vehicle ever made.

The 200 series is on par with the quality of the 80 series. The 5.7 motor is also bomb proof.

My 80 series daily driver - bought new in 1997 - is still running just fine at 260,000 miles. I did do a head gasket at 180,000 and now one of the automatic door switches is failing. Remarkable power and traction for mountain winters, and the "smart" anti-skid braking system is the best I've used. It's completely stock.

Some normal maintenance parts - like the OEM headlamps & glass - is becoming hard to find.
