2017 John Deere 5100 e and I'm having 4x4 issues.

The light on the dash stays on all the time and I have no front wheel pulling. Have checked fuses and the wires going to the solenoid on the side of the transmission . Have power to the switch on the dash. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks newbeee5900

So you do have power to the solenoid when you press the switch on? If so good chance the solenoid isn’t working.
I’d hold my hand on solenoid and see if I could feel and hear a clunk when someone else throw the switch on.
I’ve got basically same tractor but 2018 5090e but never had the issue. If you get a chance post some pics of solenoid
