2016 Kioti CK3510 CEL Light

Hi everyone I am new to this forum thing so hang in there. I recently purchased a 2016 Kioti CK 3510 that was a leftover with only 10 hrs on it. Once delivered I did a once over on it and everything seemed great second day I owned it took it out and tilled a couple acres for food plots ran it around 2600 rpm no problems...the next day took it out and brush hoged for a couple of hours and probably had the rpms around 2200-2400 got back to the barn looked down and the CEL light was on shut the tractor down waited a bit started back up no CEL light I cleaned the air filter and the radiator screen thinking maybe just got filled it grass and stuff. The next day started grading my drive way running between 2400-2600 rpm after a few hours the CEL light came back on shut it down fired it back up no light thought maybe it need to Regen at this point it had 20 hrs on it . The Regen would start for a couple minutes then the CEL light come back on and stopped the regen. I waiting until the next day went out started it and tried the regen again this time it ran through blowing out some awful smoke and smelled aweful. Thought I had the cure well the next day a fired it up and went to idle up to 2400 rpm and it started sputtering and blowing g smoke for a couple minutes then ran fine but eventually the CEL light came on again...I'm puzzled any ideas of what is going on?

If it was a leftover, are you still on the first tank of gas that it came with? If it's a 2016, it could've been sitting on the lot sinnce 2015. If so, maybe try to siphon out what's in the tank and put some fresh fuel in it if you haven't yet. Also check the fuel cap is not loose.

I would also check the fuel filter, and not futz with the regen unless the dash lights come on telling you to run the regen.

Other than the sputtering after the attempted regen, is it doing anything odd other than displaying the CEL light?

No seems to have full power and run just fine after it clears itself up the exhaust seems to smell really potent at times it makes my eyes burn I thought about doing a full service job on it before the 50 hr recommended service just because I'm sure it's been sitting and just run here or there for the last year or so I will try the new fuel in it to see if that clears everything up if not I'll do a service job and if all else fails haul it to the dealer and see what they can find

Mine did this. I called Kioti direct and they seemed to know exactly what I was talking about. They contacted the dealer and sent them a new code to download and a new thermostat. Because my dealer is 3+ hrs away we were waiting until they had to come up to the area. I ended up trading in to the same dealer a week ago.
Although it did happens in the warm weather a couple times it was mainly a cold weather thing.
