Ok guys, gonna try to keep brand bashing out of this..... Wife says my '99 Chevy 1500 with 240k miles has got to go...
I'm looking for a gasser only, can't justify the diesel. I haul lots of feed/junk/utv/tractor to my land 120 miles away several times a year but drive 62 miles round trip to work daily so want something that safely handle 10k+ #s.
I can get a 6.0L Chevy 2500 for $1k less than a comparable equipped f150 ecoboost and it's a tried and true engine with none of the stuff (turbos, shifting from 8 to 4cyl, etc) but should I consider the new fangled twin turbo technology for the MPG when empty?
Gonna probably buy a GN 24' trailer next to haul the tractor and implements when needed.
