- Down to my lovable little red Mahindra with FEL, and backhoe.
The other evening I started to hear a strange sound when digging with my 2710 backhoe on my little 2015 4WD tractor. It didn't take long to see hydraulic fluid all over the place.
The hose that connects the backhoe to the PB block had vibrated its way up to the cotter pin at the base of the throttle peddle. The cotter pin wore a hole through the hose.
I hope to have a new hose by next weekend. When I get it, I will take extra precautions to make sure the hoses stay in place so they can't rub or get pinched.
I bought this backhoe, with the 16-inch bucket, less than a year ago. At the same time I bought a tooth bar for my loader. Since then, I've moved an incredible amount of rocks, stumps, and dirt.
Anyway, if you have the 2710 or 3710 backhoe on a 15-Series Mahindra, keep an eye on the hoses.
