2014 Vacation Suggestions

A cruise to the Caribbean is NOT something we really wish to do, especially a cruise that only takes a few days, but taking one of the Cunard line ships to Europe does interest us. There are sailings from New York that head to England that take a few days and can then go to the Baltic. Sometimes the ship goes to the Baltic right from NYC and I think the cruise was 2-4 weeks. THAT is something I would like to do but there is no way I could get away from work that long. Oh yeah, it was not cheap. :laughing::laughing::laughing: I think the time and money requirement is why so many of the people on the cruises are retired.

The river boat cruises in Europe seem interesting too.

Even if I won the lottery, I don't see me going on one of these expensive photography safaris but a Cunard cruise is possible, one day.

We've been looing at river cruises in Europe and might do the one through Eastern Europe. They go to a lot of places we want to see and it sounds like fun seeing the countryside from the river. There is another one in Russia that looks interesting too. A friend did one in Western Europe over the summer that she really enjoyed and is planning on doing another, so we're curious how that goes for her. Africa is at the top of our list for next year, but I always like to have a Plan B and C lined up if possible.

The outfitters daughter set up a 1-2 night side trip for Shellie to see Kruger and some other sights. She's pretty excited, until her co-workers showed her the UTube video of the elephant flipping the jeep :laughing:

I was panicking a few weeks ago. I had LASIK on my shooting eye at the start of August and it didn't go right when they were cutting the flap and they had to abort mid-procedure. They continued with PRK which has a much longer healing process. My vision has only become decent in the past week or so.

Go west young man! A trip to the Philippines, round trip airfare is expensive but the cost of living once there is fairly cheep and rewarding!
