That's a nice drill. I have thought about doing a winter cover but closet drill to rent is 40miles,its a 10ft cost 400 a day. I would hate to run HWY 7 that has no shoulder at 50mph,with the idiots on road.
That GPS would work good with my 21ft boom sprayer.

Had some 5x5.5 round bales delivered this week, used the V417 to put them in line.

GOOD GRIEF!! How many acres are you going to plant? Isn't the rate about 50-60#/acre?

I had 5700ft of old fence dozed off and new built going to do that, its about 60ft wide. Then going to do the 30 acre meadow at the house, the rest going to put out on cattle pastures.

Haying was late this year because of the lousy spring weather. We had to wait till the dry weather set in at the beginning of july.

I've tried the winter pasture thing before, but never had much success. With the cost of seed and fertilizer, I figured I could buy sweet feed or range cubes and come out as well, if not better.

What I've found that works best for me, is free-choice hay and SuperBlocks.

Yeah bigfoot first time putting out the rye, plan is trying to make a better first cutting next year. The cattle pastures just something they can pick at,still feeding cubes and hay.

Nice, Foreman! Hope you got it all in before this rain hit the past couple of days out here. That should give the seed a really good bed to get into!

So I messed up today... Alright so I opened the gate to get a bale of hay. Hay was just right there,so I leave my door open for some reason. Y'all can see where this is going. Anyways pulled in,paying attention only in front of me,then BOOM!!! I done pushed the door up into the row of bales and it blew everywhere. That's my stupid mistake for the year. On top of that was tilling for my parents and hit a stob, blew the gearbox. Good news door is covered by insurance and gearbox still under warranty.
