2013 Branson 2400
I have a 2013 Branson 2400 that will not hit a lick. I have replaced almost everything except for the starter relay controller OPC part number HA00000013A. I cannot locate one on the web or by phone. Any suggestions on where I can get one would be greatly appreciated.

That's an expensive part. I wonder what it does? Most machines that have starters manage just fine without having a "starter controller relay".
Rather than spend that much on a guess, maybe we can figure out what it does and do that some other way?

I expect that it combines all the safety switches and then allows the start command to the starter solenoid and possibly the fuel solenoid.
It wouldn't be hard to bypass but then it could be started in gear, pto on, and even the hydro pedals pressed, and nobody in the seat.

That would be my guess too. In that case it would be pretty easy to open the controller box up and use a VOM to test which of the safety switches and/or solenoids are not working.

The alternative method to testing is to continue to throw parts at it. Entering the controller number HA00000013A into Google Search shows half a dozen places that claim to have the part for sale. All about the same price.

OR You can do a little creative wiring and install your own version of a start relay. Using any, all, (or even none) of the existing safety devises to interrupt it if you have kids, grandkids, (or idiots) who have occasional access to it. Total cost, probably under twenty dollars.

You could...but my guess is that Lou is right that the "Controller" offers convenient access to half a dozen safety devices and solenoids. And no telling what else it does. The actual problem could be in any one of those parts.

First thing I would do is put the tractor into neutral, lock all brakes, turn off the PTO, and then use a battery cable to jump from the battery + to the insulated terminal on the starter and see if the starter itself is any good. Then work backwards from there with a test light or VOM.
But that works for me because I kind of enjoy electrical challenges. YMMV.

There was a thread a few years ago where they did similar work testing a Branson 2400H...

All that's true, but we still don't know what "won't hit a lick" amounts to. At this point I guess it could mean just about anything, but I'm assuming (there's that word again) it simply means the starter won't engage. If it's actually more than that we can revise our opinions.

On my 2400H there is a switch on the clutch,PTO lever & seat. Not sure about HST pedals since has switch on the clutch which disengages drive to the HST.

Agree that it would be nice to know what “won’t hit a lick” means. Starter won’t engage, engine turns over but not try to start, etc.

It would be nice to know. At a repair shop it doesn't matter what terms the customer uses because either the service writer will figure it out, or the mechanic will know almost immediately.

But here on the internet "won't hit a lick" isn't enough information to be as helpful.
