2012 Mahindra 6010 HST Cab
Hello,I just took delivery on a 2012 Mahindra 6010 HST Cab with 25 hours on it...I found it at a Kubota dealer and the tractor looks brand new...the dealer said they bought it outright from a company that just drove it around and it had never been worked. After driving it around the farm for about 30 minutes I noticed two things that bother me and wonder if anyone has experienced the same with the Mahindra HST...in low with the mode switch in mode1 (which is suppose to be the higher response) the tractor does not move when you depress the pedal...it's like it hesitates then slowly starts to move...same going in reverse...if you was using the front end loader you would be waiting a lot to go back and forth...over the years I have had a New Holland and a Kubota with HST and they responded instantly... I am very disappointed in the way this tractor responds...any help would be appreciated.Oh,the second thing is the tractor did not seem to get to operating temp...the heater would not get very hot,Thanks,Chris.

Dumb question, but, have you checked the HST fluid level? As far as heating up, seems to be a common problem for the bigger Mahindras. You might want to just put some cardboard up in the front screens for the cold times of the year. It doesn't sound like you have worked the tractor and there is a good chance that it will warm up when worked. Just driving around may not be enough to get the thermostat to open.

Good luck and I hope that you enjoy your new tractor. ;)

Have you tried to lubricate the pedal linkage? I wouldn't directly lube the potentiometers though.

OK I will give that a try...though the pedals move very easy...Thanks.

That is odd. I found my 2012 6010 a little slow to respond in mode 2, but it seems quick in mode 1. In mode 1 it reacts at about the same speed as my L48. It did seems to get a little quicker after it got a few hours on it though.

I went back out today and tried it again and really paid attention to it and I have a real hard time to tell if there is any difference between the modes in low gear...in medium gear it seems better in mode 2 but there is a small delay for it to start rolling from dead stop no matter what gear or mode I have it in...Tom is your 6010 like that?

could it be that the switch isnt working and its not even going into mode 1?
