This tractor has a few issues but this is new. Started great pushed in clutch, pushed lever toward forward and tractor started moving. Pushed toward reverse same thing it started moving backwards. Never actually got it in gear. You can put everything in neutral and push lever back and forth easily, also when not running. I can put everything in neutral, push lever forward then put range into low and it moves forward. I just dont like to grind gears. Anyone have some words of wisdom.

Welcome to TBN. I think you're saying the clutch doesn't disengage things. You may need to adjust it. If you start to depress the pedal you should have about an inch of free play before you feel it start to meet more resistance. If you have much more than in inch you have too much free play.
Haven't really noticed, it feels pretty strong but i know thats the return spring. Thanks for your reply I'll check it out. Just makes me cringe thinking about taking it to the shop. Some mechanics are good and some replace parts until they fix it.

Being the PST model, that's a power shuttle transmission. Basically two wet clutches, one for forward and another for reverse. So no dry clutch here to adjust.

clutch disk stuck? most PST do not have a seperate clutch but no idea about the 4035.
Did you ever find the issue with your 4035? Is there a clutch pedal free play adjustment? I am having an issue all of a sudden with mine where there is a delay when I engage the clutch before the tractor actually starts to move.
