I'm having a dickens of a time ID'ing the transmission strainer (screen?) on my 2010 B2320 HSD. At the first 50, I changed the hydraulic oil & filters but never did ID the strainer. Is it possible Kubota did away with it, or did I just miss it? I'm coming up on 100 hrs & am seriously considering re-doing the hydraulic oil change. The only picture I can find of the strainer location is at Kubota : B-Series, but I'm not sure how current it is.

So, my questions are: 1. Is there a strainer on the 2010 and 2. If so, does the above link show it correctly?

Sorry to be a bother with such basic questions but sure will appreciate some guidance. (And, yep, getting parts and service manuals are on my list! :D)

Thanks in advance ..

The picture is correct. The strainer is a banjo fitting style in the end of the hydraulic suction line leading to the pump. As long as you are picking up parts it wouldn't hurt to just replace the two o-rings on either side of the pipe end.

I have a 2620 HSD and there is no strainer on mine. There are two filters that need to be replaced, however.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look closer & see if I can find the banjo bolt. Since you both have a different take on the presence/absence of the strainer, the manuals are looking more & more indispensable.

To add to the confusion, if you look more closely - in the link in my original post - you'll see pix labeled "transmission filter" and "hydraulic filter (left side of tractor)". It looks to me like they're pix of the same filter but just from different angles. Doesn't inspire much confidence. I've written Messick's asking for clarification.

Thanks again ..

I had the same question but the filters are different. Messicks helped to clarify which goes where as the factory filters are painted grey and have no numbers showing. And if I remember correctly, one filter is "taller" than the other. Once you change out the factory filters the replacements have part numbers so changing next time should be a breeze.
