Can someone tell me the difference between these 2 loaders and if you think it is worth the extra money for the 200CX. I know that the CX has it's own stand so you can unhook and drive back up to it but other than that I don't know the difference.

I'm looking to buy a 2305 and I'm trying to decide if I buy and loader and if so which one.

Thanks.

The 200X loader is a loader that you can not take off without using tools to remove it.It does not have a parking stand and you can not lift as much with a 200X loader. It only lifts 680 LBS.The 200CX loader is a self parking loader that all you have to do is take the front pressure off the front axle and lift 2 latches and cycle down and off goes the loader. No tools need for the 200 cx loader. The 200CX loader lifts 815 LBS. And it comes off in about 3 mins. max.

Good Luck ! !

CX all the way /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The level of "head ache's" you would suffer overtime wrestling the 200 loader off that machine (putting it on, taking it off) is not worth the few hundred dollars saved. Plus, this would really hurt the resale of that unit. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

The only difference I'm aware of between the two is the taking off and putting on. I just looked up the loader specs posted and came up with this for the 2305.

200X loader 200CX
712 lb. (323 kg) 712 lb. (323 kg)

Don't even consider the 200X . . . I suspect you would regret it. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Reminder... those are pivot pin lift figures. If you put 815lbs of material in the bucket the tractor will not lift it. Your actual capacity is about 30% less -- even more reason to buy the more capable loader.

wx,

Just to explain why I recommend the 200CX: putting the loader on the 2210/2305 completely changes the weight distribution and balance of the tractor. You will want to pay careful attention to the ballast needs . . . and by the way, the tractor WILL lift 815 lbs. In fact, these numbers are from the 210 loader, but the 200CX which also goes on the 2320 and the 2520 is almost identical: 750 lbs to full lift height (68"), 800 lbs to 61", 850 lbs to 51", 900 lbs to 45" 950 lbs to 38" and 1170 lbs to 16". Anyway, because the distribution and balance are changed, you will not want to mow with the loader on. If you go with the X, you will be forced to do so or invite all your buddies to pick up and take a 547 lb loader off each time you want to change. For just a few hundred dollars more, go with the CX and the 53" bucket, and get the quick hitch advantage the tractor was designed to have, and the item that purchasers will want if you decide to sell the tractor.

On another note, what mower deck are you considering? I hope the 62C. There is a premium again, but it is well worth it, for resale, for better overlap over the tires while mowing (the 54 barely covers the tire tracks), for better maneuverability (the uncut circle of the 62C is 36"), and effectively moves the ROPS (IMHO the largest factor in maneuverability) effectively away from your trees etc.

Happy hunting!

I am planning on getting the 54" MMM. I have heard the the 62C is a better fit but since my yard is pretty small and money is tight so I think I'll go with the 54C. I think it will allow me to get into a couple of tight spaces in the yard as well like squeezing between trees.

Sounds like the 200X is not for me. Thanks everyone.

Go with the 200CX. Also, I'd get the 62"MMM. One note also, you don't need to take off the loader to mow. You can mow with the entire loader on, but what I do (And I've been told a lot of folks do) is to just drop the bucket off. It takes a whole of about 20 seconds (no hoses) and you'll drop about 180lbs (53" bucket).

I mow Full PTO speed (2900rpm) High range at about 9mph (Very flat area) and have no problem. I've never been motivated to take off the loader for mowing. I only took it off (Was very easy) to put the 47" snowblower on for the winter.

You also get some extra's with the 200CX, I think they throw in a Bucket Level indicator and I'm thinking you get the deluxe hood guard with the CX but maybe that comes with the X also.

Think of it this way, Retail price either Deck with mounting hardware, etc. probably costs as much as the 200CX. It's a bargain.

Another vote for the CX... as well as the 62" deck. I doubt you would regret it. If anything, I would bet you'd wish later on that you had gotten the 62" over the 54". For the amount of money you're spending on the entire package, a few hundred more isn't enough to pass it up. Enjoy your tractor whatever you do... and you MUST post pics when it arrives... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
