Loader 2007 L4240HST-C Hydraulic Problems

Hi, Ive got an L4240HST-C with 1600hrs and recently encountered some problems. The loader bucket, steering and 3pt is sputtering, jerky or feels like its missing oil when using one of those functions. I checked the oil and its fine but noticed the dipstick was foamy. I changed my suction filter. I checked for leaks and noticed there was a leak on the control valve for the loader on one of the two spools. Other than that I have no leaks. Any thoughts?

You have a leak on the Suction Line (going to the pump)...
may or may Not show a visible oil leak to the outside... KennyV

Same symptoms, different tractor. Don't know how different your model is, but for the "cheap" L models... look for a hose that bends 90* by your right foot about 2" hose (iirc). It didn't show cracks until I pinched it.

I will go do a proper inspection now that I know where to look and will let you guys know what I come up with.

I checked that rubber hose out in between the suction pipe and the hydraulic pump and sure enough I pinched it and was badly weather cracked. I will replace it on Monday and let you know if that was the issue but I know that's what it is.
We run into to problems sometimes and could be the simplest things that make your tractor malfunction. And most of the time we encounter these problems, we don't know the exact location of the problem till we talk among other tractor owners that encountered these issues before. So glad that I came here and asked for advice, thanks...
