Hey guys I got my demo on the JD 5525 today and have the tractor for the weekend to sit around.I like the tractor but its kinda high with stock tires also its a pig on fuel was kinda expected there.But just can't get use to the fancy electical controls being as I still have a ford 3000 and 4000 also a mx 5100 they all have old school controls .So have to say this tractor JD 5525 isn't for me.

why dont you give a M8540 a try.

Hi there Bigbull yes I tried the 8540 out and I liked it so much I'm going with the 6040 its will handle everything on my 50 acre orchard.

you sound alot like me.i was thinking about a DX55 HST 4x4 w/fel.then i looked at the cases an they wasnt for me.i ended up going with the MX5100 HST w/LA844 quick tach loader.

Hi big yeah I got the quick attach bucket loader with the bobcat style bucket attachment on my MX5100 f .I love the loader and 5100 engine and the rest is too light for my kinda work

yeah they are a tad light in the rear end.we use my 5100 to move 5 by 6 hay bales an feed them.an it has the power to.as weve loaded 4 5 by 6 bales on the hay hauler an 1 on the loader.an it never missed a beat hauling them.
