Yesterday i was changing all the fluids in my tractor when i went to change the fluid in the final reduction gear cases in the front axle i could not find the filler holes, the drain plugs are there but all that i could see were the stop bolts and what looked like 2 small allen bolts on each case. My manual clearly shows a fill plug but i could not find them. My tractor is a 2006 TC33DA has anyone run into this, any advise?

I had the same problem with my TC29DA. The manual was never up-dated from the TC29D model I suspect. The oil is refilled through the front axle. Remove the yellow cap/dipstick and fill from there. You will have to let the oil drain down to the reduction gears so be patient and don't pour too fast. Don't ask how I know this, what a mess. I drained out the oil and measured it so I could put the right amount back in because I didn't trust the manual on that issue either. Easy job just slow.

Ohio Paul is exactly right as he discovered. It's extremely important to not overfill that front axle. You have to leave air space in there for expansion because there is no vent on the front axle. If you fill it completely with no air space, pressure will build and blow out the seals. Fill to the mark on the yellow dipstick/filler cap without screwing the dipstick in. At least, that's the instructions for my TC45D.

Thanks guys i changed the oil in the front axle yesterday but never drained the final reduction gear cases because i wasn't sure how to get it back in. i will drain it again and refill. I am assuming it should take about 1 1/2 liters more fluid than i put in yesterday? the manual says .8l per side. When i checked my hydraulic fluid this mourning it was just below the fill mark. I mowed for about an hour and 1/2 and once the fluid warmed up it is now on the full mark, is this fine or should i add a bit more fluid

If you are on a level surface and the axle is full when warm/hot then that's the perfect level in my opinion. Just check it in about a week to make sure it is the same level.
