Ok I have been reading every thing I can find about filters and fluids for my 10 hour change.

I am having problems with filters.
I found a few part numbers for the oil filter
Napa 1381 for a JX0706P
Napa 3195 for CX0706

Fuel filter
Napa 3195??

I purchased a Napa 1381 and a 3195.

The 3195 fits fine on the fuel filter.

The 1381 does not work on my oil filter. Can I use a fuel filter for oil??

Also my tractor does not have a filter under the seat. It has a remote filter with a part # of JX011a. I cannot find a cross reference for that.

Has anyone found a working american oil filter??
Can any one cross reference the JK011A?? hydraulic filter

Thanks

Hi ya..yeh we all have our fun looking for our first filters. The oil filter that came with one of my Jinma 284s as a spare didn't even fit it. I found a Lee LF42 filter (toyota) fit fine tho.The wix number is a 51034 there is some thought that a automobile oil filter isn't as good as a filter for Diesel's. but that's another story. It seems some 284's came with 24mm threads and others came with 20 or 22mm? I wouldn't use a fuel filter for oil tho.not sure if they have anti backflo or bypass valves in them? Hope this helps.

Well so far I have tried a 20mm to big
18 mm to small. It appears to 19mm but the parts store say they dont make them?? Whats next??

The one for the hydraulics is close to 1 inch but cant find a match for it.

The local napa gave up on me.

I was going to order some from a Jinma dealer but I am thinking there is too many different filter out there?

Ok after many trips to several auto parts store I have discoved 2 of the 3 filters for my tractor.

For one its 3/4 by 16 threads for the oil filter go figure.

Fuel filter
Napa 3195
Oil filter PH2825 (thanks for the tip)

I cannot find or figure out what the hydraulic filter is GRRRR...
I am going to take it down to the local screw shop and see if they can match the threads.

One other issue with the oil filter is that the stock filter is domed upwards where the threaded hole is. Most domestic filters are dished downwards(concave) where the threads are. You may need to unscrew the threaded nipple in the oil filter bracket a little bit and reposition it's locknut to get good thread engagement with a domestic filter.

As for hydraulics, be aware that that is not a hydraulic filter, it is a hydraulic strainer. Hydraulic filters typically filter particles down to 10-30 microns in size. A strainer is usually made of #100 wire mesh and only filters particles down to around 150 microns. If you put a restrictive filter on the suction side of a hyd pump you will kill the pump.

A gentelman asked this same question a few months back. This topic in this link may shed some light on your search.

Good luck

Assume you've got the model with an external hydraulic filter. Don't just put any old filter on there, just because it will thread on and not leak. As alluded to above, you have to determine conclusively it it's on the suction side or the return side before deciding which porosity filter (or screen) you need. Wrong hydraulic filter in the wrong location won't make you happy in the long run. See http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatDsp?storeId=6970&N=96+1506+4294967130&Ne=2000001

fishmasterdan, I have not seen the JK011A yet. The ones I have been getting in both the 200 and 300 series have had the JX0811A on them. I have a cross for that number with 140 micro.

I have had better luck measuring the threaded nipple the filter screws on.

Most of the Napa oil filter numbers that I found posted here were not compatible in my 04 Jinma 284, and when I brought in the old filter they were unable to help me. When I brought it in to an Advanced Auto store, we matched it to a Purolator L20195 which I have been running with no apparent problems. It was compatible for gasket size, thread pitch, and allowed it to be screwed on completely.

dang just lost a nice long post because my computer froze.
anyway if your 284/254 has the 3/4 threads on the oil filter boss you will need wix 51516, napa 1516, ac delco pfl400a, purolator L20195,

as for the hydro filter i have a nice long list of filters that may fit, a name brand filter company gave me the list on their crossover page, but i am weary of pasting the list for fear of it might be wrong, because i haven't tried any of the filters on the list yet
