I had a problem with my 5103 today and thru research here on TBN was able to solve the issue. The 20A fuse for the fuel shutoff solenoid blew when I turned the key on. After one replacement with the same result, I came to TBN and was able to dig up a solution that worked. I disconnected the cold start solenoid @ the thermostat housing, replaced the fuse and the tractor fired up. I purchased a new one for $35 at the local JD dealer. Is there anything I need to watch for when replacing this, such as thread sealant, o-ring etc.? It looks very simple and straight forward, but those are the ones that usually have a little hidden gremlin that turns a 20 minute job into an all day job.
