I don't recall you mentioning how many hours are on your machine, but it sounds like you bought it cheap enough. Just a tractor and MMM deck under 1000 hrs will bring $7K here.

I would recommend removing the loader and only putting it on when needed. No use in carrying it around while doing mower duties.

I removed my ROPS so I could mow under yard trees. I never operate mine in any rollover situations so am not concerned about it. With that said, as mentioned before, the tractor weighs somewhere around 1400 lbs by itself. If you roll it over and it lands on you, you aren't going to push it off.

You'll find lots of uses for your tractor and equipment. Pretty amazing what these tractors can do for their size. Post pictures when you get it. We love pictures!!!

325 hrs.......and delivery guy #2 did show up this morning, and he has loaded it and is on the way back to me. He should get here around 4 this afternoon. I hired him off of CL, and we have been talking on the phone quite a bit. When he called me about an hr ago to say he was loaded and moving I asked him what he thought of the tractor. He just said he could believe how nice it was, and he was very impressed. He also said that the seller forgot to tell me about a rear sprayer attachment, and that he had that also. Said he picked the ballast box, DRPower chipper, and other stuff up with the FEL and put it in the bed of his truck. Guess I will be riding around some late this afternoon.

Bush hog or box blade?.............informal poll.

Also, will a trailer like the lawn service guys use work for this tractor? Or do I have to go more heavy duty, say something like a lowboy flat trailer? I'm thinking double axle is a must?

You got a very good deal!!!

Not knowing your exact situation it's hard to give advice on attachments. Ultimately you need both, blade and cutter. Shop used, look on Craigslist or use www.tractorhouse.com

As for the trailer, you could haul it on a single axle but it will pull a lot nicer on a double axle. If you hafta buy a trailer, buy a double axle, 3500 lb axle capacity, 16' utility trailer or car hauler. Then you have a trailer that can do other things than just haul your tractor.

Anxious to see your purchase as I'm sure you are!!!

Hi. I bought my 2210 brand new in the spring of 2004, so 9 years old. Still strong and solid at 728 hours. I did have to overhaul the driveshaft last July during a heat wave -it was a b&*ch! Now I know it's worth the effort to lube the shaft. Tires showing some wear. Just replaced the original battery last winter.
If you have a loader with it definitely leave the ROPS on! It's a heavy duty little tractor but way too light for loader work without serious weight on the rear, very tippy.

Man, that mower comes off in like 2 min or less. That can't be good dragging it though that dirt.

I had to read your response two or three times. Then I thought he must not be talking to me. Then, yep, he's talkin to me since he quoted me...... Hmmmmmm. Where did he get the idea I was dragging my deck thru the dirt??? Neither picture shows the deck in the dirt. I don't see any marks in the dirt caused from the deck being dragged. Hmmmmm..... Uuuhhhhh,, okay,,, I'll take it off next time,,, I guess... :)

Sorry to preach to you. Must be my father coming out as I get older. Growing up on a farm, we always changed the tools for the job at hand and back then they were not so easy to come on and off as they are today. Disking that field can draw up some pretty big rocks that can tumble and roll under that deck, dull or chip the blades or bend the frame. I know the fan that cools the transmission is precious because I have paid to have it replaced myself but a $2500 mower deck is a bit of extravagant protection.

No hard feelings, eh!

That "field" is my yard. Not sure there's any big rocks to draw up. No hard feelings at all. I learned a thousand posts or more ago to study pictures closely before making comments about what you perceive to have saw. No worries. :)
