new holland tn75da
Tractor has 2200hrs. 1st motor blew at 19xx hours when the timing gears came apart from oiling issues. After 300 hours of only winter work and 3 years the motor threw a rod or broke the crank. #3 piston isn't moving. talked with dealer that replaced the motor and the long block they installed only had a 6 month warranty and they werent going to help me at all with it. i brought it to another shop to have them diag it as i thouhgt maybe it was hydro locked or something of that nature because employee started it at WOP in -5f temps. was hoping the insurance would do something with employee miss use but they didnt. dealer quoted me over 20k to replace with engine and they cannot find a used one. need advise on my options. would like to get a motor in it for as cheap as possible to at least be able to use it this upcoming winter season

TIA!

It is an Iveco 8035.05R. It was used by a couple of tractor brands, and several construction equipment companies. So they are out there. And, there are probably rebuild kits out there. The other alternative is research what bell housing pattern it has and see if you can find an engine from another manufacturer. You might have to install modified motor mounts. But, the hard thing to find is a bell housing match, everything else can be done with a welder.

I would like to not even replace with a 3 cylinder so going the bell housing route was a thought at first! but in same sense i also have WAYYYY
too much into this tractor and just want to be able to use the damn thing! i would assume i just need to find roughly the same model year and it should work?

Buy another tractor and part out the blown-up machine. I work with a gal who does this for fun, buying auction machines and selling the parts that are expensive & shipable. Makes money on the deals, especially accessories and pumps. wheels. You might not break even, but it will lessen the pain. Two wrongs can make a right move.

There are standards for Bell housings, which govern the shape, bolt locations, flywheel size etc. Industrial engines have certain bell housings, and the equipment manufacturers sometimes put different engines in the same model, under a different brand. Change the paint and engine, and it is a different piece of equipment. TYM, and the other manufacturers who make tractors for other brands, frequently puts other engines in a tractor, paint it different and it is a different tractor.

With a little on line searching you should be able to determine what bell housing and flywheel on your Iveco engine has, and from that you can find alternative engines with the same bell housing which can easily be installed on your tractor.
