New Holland TC35D, Ford NAA and John Deere X530 garden tractor
Just got a 2003 TC35D. It has 2700 hours on it but it runs great. I don't have manual for it yet at I'm not that familiar with all the controls. Anything I should look for or look out for? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. IMG_20180602_135914535.jpeg

The oil drain plug bolts. I bought mine from a lady who's husband passed away and all of the oil drained from the engine due to leaking drain plug rubber washers, when they went to start it guess what no oil and spun a rod. Other than that, which is not likely to be a problem since you will be using the tractor, don't run it out of fuel as its a bear to bleed the fuel.

I have a 2000 TC35D, when you have problems not starting, check all the safety switches, they are notorious for failing, lots of threads on here just use the search bar. Also fuses blowing quite common. Enjoy!

Thanks guys, the drain plugs are fine. it was full when I looked at the tractor and they changed the engine oil before they delivered it. I topped off the Hydraulic oil and the front axel. It starts right up and runs fine. I noticed that the glow plug light never comes on. I don't know if that's because it's 90 degrees out or if the glow plugs don't work.

I have the same tractor though mine is a 2000 model year (bought new). It's a solid tractor and has served me very well. My glow plug timer went out too and I had to replace it. Search the threads on the glow plug timer. The official NH timer was surprisingly expensive (>$100 I think). I bought an equivalent Kubota timer (Kubota Model NGKS81NL) for a lot less than that. My tractor had developed some rust under the rubber mat of the operator platform (I guess it traps water there). I took some time to wire brush it clean and repaint it. I also replaced my fuel sender a while back with something more accurate. I too replaced my steering tilt cylinder and I think my cruise control switch went bad a few years ago (also replaced). Over 18 years I've only done minor repairs to the tractor. The 16LA loader is very good and very strong. The best way to remove/install the loader is to gently move the joystick forward or backward to take the load of the loader pins (that pin the loader frame to the loader towers). Once you get the hang of it you'll never hammer them in or out again. Oh I just replaced my loader quick couplers recently too. After 18 years they were leaking.
