I'm looking to buy a 2003 TC30 this weekend, 4wd, 145 hours with 5 ft FEL.
Kept up well everything works correctly but am unsure of value of this machine. I am in the central VA area and would like some hlep here before a make a final offer. Thanks to any responses.

You can buy a gear TC30 from Corrihers for around 14K with loader. A hydro unit is around 1K more. You need to see what kind of loader is on it. I know that Corrihers low balls on the loader with a small bush hog brand. A NH loader is gonna be more. Find out what kind of loader is on it and price it out new from you local dealer. I would then try to get the unit for 20 to 25 per cent less than new retail. Good luck.

I sold my 2004 model with 120 hours with a NH 7308 FEL, R4 tires, 9x3 transmission, tire chains, and a work light for $11,900 in December.

This has a 7308 loader, 9x3 and i believe a hydro. Folks are in a bit of money trouble but I'll go ahead and say, they're asking $9800. I checked it out today and it is absolutely perfect condition.
Thanks for your inputs, guys.

I hope you have bought the tractor already. My dealer was going to give me $10,000 for my tractor if I traded it on my new tractor. Does the seller owe on the tractor or is it paid off?

You better jump on it. I gave $7K and a YM1700 Yanmar for a NH1720 that was pristine with 245 one owner hours. I got a box blade to boot. I valued the tractor @ $9K. If I add a 7308 loader for it that's going to run over $3800 more. At $9800 they are trying to move the unit. I've got a feeling that they may just be trying to get out of the unit what they owe. If you really want it offer $9500 and then give the $9800 if they won't budge. Never hurts to dicker a little.

If it is a hydro, I'd jump on it. If it is a gear, probably jump on it as well.
If I remember correctly, the gear unit had the shift up near the steering wheel with 2nd and reverse in line, for quick directional changes. It also left a fairly flat operators platform, for easier on and off. Seemed like a good idea to me.

Thanks again for all the responses. I've got almost 15 acres, wooded on 13 which I'm clearing. River on two edges of the property so I can't work too close to it. Will be used mainly to box blade up old dead fall, small rocks general debris, grading, and maintaining 550 feet of gravel driveway, backfilling around a new house addition and an under construction 3 car garage.
I had planned to do exactly what ya'll suggested, offer $9500. I think they are just trying to get close to payoff since the owner has relocated to 2 acres and don't use it now. Its nice to be so warmly greeted and encouraged by those in the know. I guess my biggest question is lube maintenance as it applies to general lube points and specifically the 3 point eyelets. I own a couple old Lincolns and am kind of a lube nut. Like stuff to work smoothly and stay corrosion free. Thanks again.
