I think it sounds a little high, but everything is higher in Colorado. My Grandpa priced a new L3800 with a LA 524 loader for 20,000. He wanted a HST transmission and R4 tires, but I don't know if that price included that.

Most of us love to get stuff for what we consider a "deal" but what really matters is getting something you are happy to have, that works for you, and at a fair price for all involved. Something that isn't what you hoped for, once you get to use it and learn about it, even at a steal, isn't such a bargain in the end. Enjoy your new tractor!

I just bought a B2650 with loader, R4 tires, chains, taxes, Kubota coverage for 5 years (term of loan) for just over $20,000. I'm good with that. Will get it delivered late December when I have a place to park it inside.

Hello folks,

First...thanks for all the welcomes, well wishes and feedback; I am already having fun on this site.

So a brief update: Due to what I consider poor customer service even before the paperwork was signed, I ended up changing dealers and purchasing a B2620HST with FEL, 50" RTR1250 tiller, 54" box scraper and a Kubota weight box. I also had the tires loaded with RimGuard ballast and am currently looking at these chains Duo Ladder Tractor Tire Chains.

I agree with varmint, I love negotiating but in the end I feel as though I got a great deal on a fantastic tractor with all the accessories to do the work I bought the tractor for in the first place. My dealer is fantastic and the people are wonderful to work with and treat me with respect.

I'll post a few pics soon...and thanks again for all feedback!!!

A few more pics of my new B2620. I already added a bucket level indicator; the idea taken from a contributor on the "BXTractor" site.

This past weekend I finished the installation of my new Bolt On Hooks w/ Clevis mounts; one for each side of the bucket and took the tiller off and put the weight box on. Now to fill the weight box.

I want to take a moment to post some great feedback about Kenny at Ken's Bolt On Grab Hooks. Quite simply...fantastic gentleman to do business with!!! My ordering process was seamless and efficient, communications were timely, my product was delivered as promised and packaging was impressive and even follow-up questions were answered in a timely manner. I know I echo the sentiments of many on this forum but I highly recommend doing business with Kenny. Thanks very much, Kenny...

Something to consider before you put weight in the box would be to mount casters to the bottom of the weight box. Then you can roll it out of the way in your shop when you aren't using it. And it would make it easier to adjust the alignment when hooking up. Or get a furniture mover to set it on.

I've seen several good ways to store tools in weight boxes. Using upright pvc pipes for shovels etc. You might also want to put a hitch receiver somewhere on it.

Then fill with concrete .

I'd think twice before I filled a weight box permanently with concrete. I just used rock, and got plenty of heft, plus I could empty it if needed...
