I definitely need to get a new flash drive. I guess I am still behind the times as I am still using a 128MB flash drive.

thumb drives are so quick and easy and cheap...like a hooker....and just about as dangerous. We have 'em at my office - but I sure don't like 'em. Whenever I catch someone bringing in their personal ones I tell them I don't want their dirty little thingys in my computers. The boss backed me on this one. It's being a hard a__ about it but we've been virus free for several years and I'd like to keep it that way til I can get out. Ya just never know where it's been.....

I actually think they may be safer than a floppy disc as far as a virus is concerned.
As long as you set yuor system to scan removeable media.. etc.. and/or only allow data file xfer and not executables.. it really does minimize the risks.. etc..

Another alternative if your camera uses SD memory, is to buy some SD cards plus a flash/jump/thumb adapter. (SD cards are the same price as a flash drive, are smaller, and may be faster).

I also have their green-triangle adapter, which is more convenient as a SD to USB adapter. They sell adapters for other camera memory - CF etc.
This allows plenty of camera memory for a long vacation, then the cards are returned to service as usb drives carrying edited photo sets to Grandma etc when we're home.
