Tractor
New Holland TC-33-D
Okay, searched the forum and couldn't find exactly what's going on with my tractor, and I need some help!

A couple months ago, I was running the tractor and it shut down all by itself, like it ran out of diesel. I had to go out of town for several weeks, and now able to come back to it.

This tractor has run like a top, it never lets me down!

It's turning over, and it's full of fuel, just absolutely not firing at all. Almost like it's not getting fuel, but when I open the fuel bleed on the top of the injector pump, there is fuel there.

How do I test the injector pump to see if it's pumping fuel? This is my first Diesel, and I've owned this tractor since new, and never had any issues until now.

Thanks for any help!

On my 2007 TC30, there is a fuel shutoff solenoid before the injector pump. A small relay operates it. The really is on the bulkhead (firewall) on the right hand side of the tractor. You may unplug it and then take two wires directly from the battery to the solenoid to hear it click. If it does try starting the engine. If it starts the relay is your problem. Good luck

if making no smoke, and given the circumstances it shut down under, check fuel stop solenoid and wires.

next, you can use a wrench and loosen lines at injectors and roll over and see if fuel dribbles out

Okay, so I fixed this issue!! Took all three injector screws and loosened them. Ran the starter until fuel spurted out, and did that for 30 seconds.

Tightened them down, tractor fired right up!

Got it running, then tried to engage the Howse mowing deck, and the geara box on it is shot, so now have a working tractor, just can't mow with it now. :)

Thanks!!

sounds like you must have run out of fuel last time you used it.

No it didn't run out, that was what was really throwing me off, although I've never had to bleed the injector ports before, just always bleed the intake into the pump. What I DID notice though, as it was pumping while the jets were loose, there were several water spots that came out, so there must have been condensation that got into it and hosed it up. Runs great now!
