Hi,
Saw a 1998 B20 TLB on E-Bay? It has 535 Hours, Hydro, 4 wheel drive.
Is this the earlier version of the B21? Is it similar in weight, and frame style, to the B21? Is there anything particular to the B20 that needs special attention? Any thoughts to its value $$?
Thanks,

Yeah the B20/TL420/BT750 TLB was the commercial
integrated TLB sold from the mid 80s to the mid 90s. It
was replaced by the B21/TL421/BT751. I looked at that
auction and that seller may not know what year model
he has.

My own recently acquired B21 is prob a 98 model, based on
the serial number and the date stamp on the wheels.

If I remember correctly the last year for the B20 was 1996. The biggest changes when the B21 came out were the flat operator’s platform and stronger hydraulics. The 535 hrs would be a bit questionable to me. That is less than 50 hrs a year.

I feel the B-20 was the best subcompact TBL made. It was built like a tank and simple to opperate. I put over 3000 hours on mine and it never seen the repair shop. If I had a choice of a new B-20 or a new B-21 I would take the B-20, but that can never happen now and I have owned both machines in the past

I would question the hours on that small industrial type tractor; way too low of hours for that vintage? Many were purchased by rental yards, and then subjected to severe use by inexperienced operators?! I would run a background check of it prior life, before risking my hard earned dollars!! The abuse of the HST would be a big concern too. A gentleman on this board bought one that had been in a rental environment; and was forced to rebuild the entire drivetrain after purchase. The HST had been rebuilt prior, but poor workmanship, resulted in a second failure? They are a tough tractor however. Good luck!
