1997 L4200 GST Clutch Pedal ?

Looking to buy, only has 1842 hours. One thing I noticed is the clutch pedal does not move that much, seems jammed in the up position. I noticed the linkage and very large spring, nothing looks out of place. If the clutch was shot it wouldn't move. It performs all functions perfectly. Any suggestions on what to look at. I can get the tractor w/loader and box blade, 2004 trailer for 4500.00. If I need to replace the clutch would this still be a good deal. Thanks

Can't help on your question but I would agree that, if taken care of, that would be a very good price

It may be out of adjustment, which is common from riding the clutch or using the wrong gear while running the loader. Both of those happened to my tractor when I loaned it. It cost about $1,000 for a new clutch I believe, done at the dealer. Never loan tractors!

It sounds like a great price. I have a 3300 about the same age. It must be an issue with the linkage adjustment if it otherwise is working OK.. I would go for it.

Another possibility if that is a GST with a shuttle shifter, the clutch may not have been used much and be frozen. I rarely use the foot clutch with my L3130GST as the hydraulic shuttle clutches do most of the work when moving the GST lever and shuttle lever.
