1997 deere 5500n

Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time posting. Finally actually ready to buy my first tractor. Looking closely at a deere 5500 and was hoping to see if there was any member feedback on this model? This one looks quite clean,but wondered if there was anything in particular a buyer should watch for? Any advice is surely appreciated! Thanks, and great forum!

Keep in mind that the n stands for narrow. This tractor was designed for confinement operations, and other specialty work that required a very skinny and low tractor (as narrow as 54" w/ as little as 13" front axle crop clearance). Otherwise these have always been pretty good little tractors, not a lot of frills so relatively easy to work on also.
