Price Check 1996 John Deere 445 current value?

Currently settling my Dad's estate. We have a 1996 John Deere 445 with only 352 hours on it, trying to figure out the value on it. Runs great, garage kept so in great shape with really minor cosmetic issues. Any comments? I have had one offer so far but it seemed lowball to me.

Humm, I seen 5 on tractorhouse from $2900.00 to $6700.00. Most has over 1200 hours. The one for $6700.00 had a loader.

Just a wild guess, but I would say for just the tractor and mower deck if you got $2000 I would take it.

Why would I say that? I had a 4 year old diesel X595 (It was a 2WD but not sue of the number) with 3 pt hitch that I bought new and paid around $11000, give or take some. Even with 400 hours on it, quite a few JD dealers would only give me $6000 against a trade in for a new diesel X740.

This may be comparing apples to oranges so just be patient and you might get more because they are nice tractors.

I sold my 2001 with a 54" deck, quick hitch and front drive shaft with 1000 hours on it for $3400.00. I pretty much threw in the quick hitch and front drive shaft because I did not need them any more. I'd say somewhere around $3000.00 would be reasonable.

I would agree with the 3 or higher range if as clean as mentioned. Another selling point would be that the front mount attachments made today for current production garden tractors will still fit this machine when used with corresponding hitch (also still available). I would also say rear att as well but I don't know if 3 point kit is still available for 445's. Be patient if you can this should be a relatively desired machine.

I sold my 425 AWS 4 years ago for $3200. It had about 1200 hours on it, a new Cam, seat, and gauge wheels, and belt on a 54" deck. It was very clean and well cared for. I would think you could get similar money for your low-hour 445.
