I just purchased a 1990 JD 210 C skip loader. It runs fine and everything works on it, but the transmission is stuck in first gear. The 4X4 works, it's just stuck in first gear. Forward and reverse work. The shift lever feels like it won't move, I've pulled and pulled on it. How hard is it to pull the top of the transmission off and look and see if the shift fork is stuck or something. Also, has anyone seen any repair manuals on line for free, in pdf format? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
