Tractor
Wanting to purchase
Need some buying advice from the TRACTOR COMMUNITY. Want to know if a 1990 Ford New Holland Model 1920, 4x4 that has the following attachments included: Log splitter,Grating Box/Bucket & a Dront End Loader & a new clutch. Is this a good deal? Price $9,999. Tractor has 2,200 hrs on it. Also being not knowledgeable about tractors. Is that too many hours ??????
Thanks for any input you might have !!!!!!

One of the best tractors Ford ever made. The hours are not bad either. Id try to get it for $9,000.

Can't help you with the price for that unit, sorry.
I bought a Ford 1100 last year and have done a lot of reading since then. The 1000 series Fords are known as tough, well built tractors. I'm really happy with my purchase. $5500 with 4WD, FEL, back blade, mower, cultivator, rototiller, and plow.
There's some real experts on these tractors on this site.

It was a very tough decision for me because I know nothing about tractors, it is a 30 year old unit (but only 303 hours when I bought it), it is a lot of money for me, etc.

Its worked out very well. Can't believe how much I can get done with it, but diesel makes a big difference, I think, in these smaller units.

TBN is a godsend for someone like me. So many that are willing to help. I've learned a lot and its really helped with my comfort level.

I hope things work out for you!

I bought a 1999 model 1720 in 2006...
It was a 1 owner unit with only 245 hours and was cherry...
I gave 7k to boot trading in a Yanmar YM 1700 with 1250 hours...
The tractor did include a very nice 5' heavy duty Woods box blade...
With that said I now have over 700 hours on the 1720 with no issues...
I added a very nice Stoll front end loader 2 years ago and I really like the tractor...
If the 1920 had been maintained I would not be at all concerned with 2200 hours...
IMHO the asking price is in the ball park...
