1988 JD 430 Lawn Tractor Water pump

Hello all....

I'm a new member from Maryland with a question about parts for
a 1988 430 JD Lawn Tractor.

I just picked this item up and not sure I made a good decision on a tractor this old. It has 980 hours on it.

I've already found out that the radiator is no longer available and am wondering if a water pump is NLA, too.

My engine number is: CM3029D019930.

I don't need either part right now, but since I keep tractors a long time,
I'm wondering if I shouldn't just sell this and go with a newer JD or Kubota.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a JD 430, same 1988 model and I love it. Those are low hours on the tractor, I am keeping my 430 even though I just bought a new JD2320. Usually, I look up the part number using JDparts homepage, then go to GreenFarmParts.com and see if they have it. I've had several parts that the JD dealer said they didn't have only to find it on GreenFarmParts and they are JD OEM parts. Price is reasonable and at times less than JD dealer, and they ship really fast. If I order on Monday the part usually is delivered by Wednesday.
