Already tried Napa, tractor supply, and coastal farm & supply. They all said it’s a great tractor, hardly ever breakdowns, but good luck with parts and maintenance supplies. Wondering if I should sell it??

Found a couple of sources. Then again, I don't know what the shipping costs are.

Make sure the filters look at least the same as yours. I would still look closer for any markings on your current filter, so then you could cross reference with something else. These small Japanese tractors also known as grey market tractors are all over the place and it's common for them to share the same filters.

Hey,
thanks a million for the info. I did run it for 10 mins. W/out filter, light is still on. Do you know what that symbol means on the light?? I’m zooming the one on the far left is for oil. The middle one is for the electrical charge or battery , and the bottom one is for water temperature but I just checked the oil on it and it is above the fill line a little bit. I wonder if that has anything to do with that light in the oil looks pretty dirty I need to just get all the filters and change the oil in and all the filters all at once see what happens, thanks again for your insight on this. I appreciate it and all the websites also.

So you have 4 lights:

- Top left - Oil pressure. If it comes on with the engine running, means big issues
- Top center - Charging light. If it comes on with the engine running, means you have an issue with the battery charging system.
- Top right - It's the air filter restriction warning light. Tells you the filter is clogged and needs to be cleaned out with compressed air or replaced. Usually a good cleaning is enough
- Bottom center - Water temperature. Will turn on if the engine is overheating.

Now for the air filter light still turning on, could either be a wire that is broken or is loose. Without the air filter, it shouldn't be on since there is virtually no restriction.

Ok thank you. I’m going to order the filter set and change all 3 ( oil, air, fuel) since I don’t know when the previous owner last did it. Oil for this tractor is straight 30 w?? Or is it a diesel oil type?? It’s pretty black looking oil in there now, so I’d like to start fresh. Any idea how many quarts?? I’ll look for a loose or broken wire on light. Thank again

Ok,
I followed the wire that went from the dash light all the way through the wiring harness all the way down to the engine. It goes on the dash some type of modulator or a restrictor for the air flow. Well, the wire got really hot at one point it’s got a rubber sleeve on it to protect it from the heat down here and it’s like been cooked. You can tell it’s crispy so I’m gonna replace that wire even though I don’t see a brake in it but I sent you two pictures of that regulator or modulator whatever it is and the Sideview picture of the first picture you can see the wire attaches on the back of it but the other picture I took number two picture you can see there’s a little prongs sticking out at the base of it and there’s no wire connected to that. Is that a ground supposed to be on? There is what I was thinking. I don’t know if it’s like some sort of modulator or something that like when air goes through it pops up and then it almost like a harmonica pops up and then comes back down and pops up comes back down I think because when I try and move it that’s what it does. I tried to take it off with the wrench and it is under so tight. I cannot get it off and I do not want to strip that Nut.. so I’m gonna replace wire and put it back together and see what happens but I have a feeling that part of bad too. It looks like it’s been hot before.

That's just a vaccum sensor. Once it gets a certain amount of vacuum, caused by too much restriction on the air filter, it switches the light at the dash on.

That most likely just switches the ground. I would start by fixing the wire and then go from there.

Hopefully the tape was just to protect it from over spray and it's actually broken.

What I meant was in the picture number two there’s a single wire prong sticking out with no wire on it and I can’t find a wire that fell off anywhere. I’m just wondering if that’s supposed to be a ground wire on that or because it’s definitely a different type of the wire that goes on the back of it is around like plug-in wire. Any ideas?

I did Not find any breaks in the wire. I replaced it anyway because it had been hot more than once before. The vacuum sensor does not look good to me. Just my guess, cause after checking out the wiring (w/fluke) , the light still won’t go off. I’m going to buy a new one if I can find one, install it and hope that the light goes away. I have a lot of work to do, how bad is it to drive it with the vacuum not working correctly??

After you sent me the info for parts, I did return to a tractor supply a few miles farther from town. I can get just about anything I need for the Iseki tractor there. Not sure if you got my last message, can I drive this thing the way it is? Or probably not?? I think it’s best to wait and fix it. Thanks for all your support. I’ll keep you posted how things go

You can drive it with the light on, no problem there. Just don't drive without the air filter.
