1974 Ford 3000 w/ a ford 771 loader
My hydraulics have been acting up lately. The problem i'm having is when i'm using the hydraulics after a long time period of use. after awhile the cylinder speed starts to slow down and then just completely shuts off. As in there is no movement from either the tilt cylinders, lift cylinders or the rear 3 point. But after a while of cooling down it seems with it running it seems to just magically start back up again. I did a pressure check on the pump when I first start it when the hydraulics have not been used for a long period of time. the pressure was 3000 Psi. Spec for the pump is 4000. Any there any know problems for this hydraulics on this tractor? it seems like something is expand and cause the hydraulics to not work. it isn't just one cylinder its all of them. I feel like this is a pump issue?

Not trying to run you off as I frequent both forums, this one for newer tractor chatting and the other for older tractor chatting. Go to Yesterday's Tractors and select the Ford section. There are several guys really knowledgeable on the subject that can probably pinpoint your problem in a new york minute. I can't on that question.

Do you still has the original pistonpump on the tractor ? Replace it with a geartipe pump and make sure you seal the suctionline at the inlet of the pump.
