It's an L245DT; Kubota didn't offer a lot of 24 HP 4x4 tractors in 1978.

Value is going to be tough, but up here I would start out at +-$8000 based on what I've seen them advertised at.
You can always go down in price, but can never go up.

I’m thinking half that is a lot.
Parts availability is an issue.

I think the lack of a loader hurts the value. Relative small group interested in a tractor without a loader.

That Kubota sounds like a nice tractor for someone who would like to mow and do light snow removal with a rear blade. Our Ford 1210 was plenty of tractor in that service for ten years, and the little Ford doesn't have nearly the HP.

We still have the Ford because it comes in handy for various things. I even used it to mow a couple weeks ago because it already had its rear mower mounted and I was too lazy to swap implements around.

I'm with RickB on price. While I bet it is a good tractor with what you said it being garage kept with low hours, you are still looking at around a 40 year old tractor. If I was purchasing it as a second tractor to use I would probably offer between 3 & 4k for it. But that is just me.

Hope for the best with your sale. Let us know how you did when it sales.

Good luck.

It would be interesting to know what the tractor sold for new. I'm guessing a lot less than $8000. Tractor Data gives the price of a 1977 L245 as $4000.

Not saying that it's an apples to apples comparison, but in 1977 you could buy a base level F150 truck for about $5500.00.
How would you price a garage kept 1977 F150 with only 32 hrs (2000 mi)?

Another way to evaluate it would be to get an idea of what a comparable (replacement) new tractor would cost and deduct some % for deterioration of rubber, lack of features, warranty and parts availability.

Reminds me of a guy I heard about once. Bought a brand new car and babied it. Took the bus to the steel mill all winter. Went to trade it in thinking it would be worth a fortune, and it he was offered very little. It didn't help that it was during the oil crisis.

An HONEST, good quality, little tractor looking for a new home.

Kubota certainly didn't have the sex appeal back then, that they do today.

So, where is it, how many hours (125 or 244) and how much do you want for it?
