I've been having a charging issue since I got this guy back together. No charging and constant battery drain. Well long story short, I had the wires wrong on the voltage regulator (battery to field, field to battery). I was able to run for periods of time until the battery would just fully drain. Anyway, long story short, I pulled the VR to test and everything seems to be OK except I think a wire is burned open. Can anyone tell me if the wire circled in the picture *should* be connected or is that the way these are supposed to be? Thanks!
