How have you connected the hydraulic bucket to the system? Did you connect using the test port or some other way?
everything is as i was before we drained and replaced the oil.
can't see it being the pump.. as mentioned above the 3 point hitch works and the PTO.
so maybe?? still not not enough oil???
the hydroulic bucket has its own levers. one for bucket the other for the loader.
it runs off the pump as the PTO and 3 point hitch.
where the tractor resting it is not level.. so just out of curiousity we are going to put the front up on a ramp.
perhaps the oil just needs some gravity to go to the back???
will try anthing at this point. and if that don't work??? not sure what do to next.
really want to avoid taking the tractor apart. will let you know if that does the trick.
thanks for your reply

DO NOT overfill the sump as it will most likely start leaking into the brakes. Take out the bottom bolt of the side plate and use that as your fill level. IF as you say the 3 point is working like it should then I am going to go out on limb and say you have a seperate pump and sump for the loader. The 8N pump is seldom ever used for proving pressure to a loader because the output (gallon per minute) is low and using it for a loader is unbelievably slow. I would guess there is a pump mounted to the front of the engine that supplies the loader hydraulic pressure

Yesterday afternoon we had a visit from a mechanic that was here to fix our tenant's tractor that was parked in the back feild.. he took a look at the 8N and found that is has air in oil.. so he showed us how to bleed the air out.. we got the bucket moving.. he will be coming back this week as we need two people.. what he done was stand on the back of the 3 point hitch. and jumped a few times.. for weight while one was playing with the levers for the bucket, tractor runnign of course..the lever for open and close the flow of the oil was open part way, which then forced the little bit of oil in the hoses to the cylinders and let the air out. he did say the pump is working as it should. and he showed us that you can see the air in the oil.. tiny bubbles.. so that is a releif . should have it all working this week. and there is only the one pump.. I do Thank You all for your replies.. this sure was a head scratcher..,. but good to learn something new!.. OH he did say that we would need more oil in as well.. hte cylinders on the arms are 3 feet on both sides.. and 19inches on both side of the bucket.. therefore it would need more than the dipstick would record, being it was added as on later.. so all is well..
Thank You all again for your replies.. we do appreciate it.. take care & Be Well..
