1949 JD A brakes

I need to pull replace the brake pads on my 1949 A, does anyone know what kind of metal the drums are made of, cast or ??

If I remember correctly the drum is stamped steel riveted to a cast hub. Don't quote me 100% on this as it's been at least 10-15 years since I've worked on one.

Thank you, I noticed a "stress crack" on the exterior rollover part of the drum which I think may be a slight defect from it being manufactured. Was thinking about repairing it.
