1947 M refurbishing

We just inherited a 1947 John Deere M with a scraper blade. I'm looking for information on the 3 point hitch modification and a spring time refurbish project with the family. Thanks.

Hey there, coffeyp. Send us some pics of your old M. My Dad is finishing up a resto on the 1952 H that we farmed with years ago. Here is a pic of his super W-4 with rear seat and surrey top.:thumbsup:

I'm going to be taking pictures of the M today. It's in good operating shape. I want to make it superclean and see what attachments are the best for us. I'll post the pictures today or tomorrow.

i have a John Deere M, i took the old hitch off of it, and got some parts for a ford 8n, for my 3 point change over, i had to make up some sway bars for the 3 point, or you well eat up the tires , works fine on my m, i have a blade, and 4 foot mower i use, i have used a tiller on it also with my 3 point set up, just get the pins and bolt them in place under the tires, there are holes there. that you well see once you get the old hitch off. and i took had to mod, the ford adjusting arms,
