I'm so jealous of you & Don /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif... not sure it's safe for either of you to show up near my place /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I'm eligible to retire now - but $$ means I stick for 47 more months /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif .... Don & Karen are now just up the road from my place in the country. Via backroad it was about 12 miles ?? I think? ...

Mikim,
I tried to reduce a picture (closer) of the farmhouse. It was TOO large, so I (Think) I reduced it to a more manageable and viewable size. Hope it comes out all right!

You are over the legal limit of liveoaks. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Later today, the liveoak police will stop by and take custody of some of those liveoaks and bring them to Sunset where we have a shortage. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Nice place! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks.. we have arranged to have the "Live Oak Police" stopped at the county line! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Besides, they wouldn't go out on "a limb" to mess with us! /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( We now live in Manvel just north of Hiway 6.)</font>

I actually lived in Manvel for about 4 months or so back in 1979. The year it flooded 30" in 24 hours on one Saturday, and 24" in 24 hours on the very next Saturday...

Its a bit different now than it was. I commuted on Hwy 6 over to Reed Tubular Shop in Sugarland.

Yeah, I remember when it rained. It flooded out Alvin and all points in between.
Manvel is changing....a new high school is being built and the Police Department went 24 hrs protection! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The population is still listed at 3,024 with still one red light in town. Pearland really grew and still growing. All the overflow is moving south. That's why I'm bailing out soon! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
