Kubota B2100HST and John Deere Model G (1938)
Hey y'all. Just bought a 1938 G from my uncle. My Great Grandfather purchased the tractor in Williamston, Mi in the spring of 1939. Serial number 7232. Family tractor all its life...Its my first vintage tractor, so i am still learning the ropes. where is the best place on the web to get a shop manual for this machine ?

What a great looking machine. Isn't it the greatest feeling to hear a 70 year old tractor roar to life. I would check Steiner Tractor for a manual.

Thanks for the help Sir. Been scouring the web pages this evening. Plan to pick up the operators manual, "technical manual" (i.e. shop manual), and the parts catalog.

That is great looking and running tractor. The sound of the horizontal John Deere engines is very distinct. Are you attending the Buckley Old Engine Show on August 16,17,18,19 this year? It is a fantastic show with hundreds of tractors and many steam and heavy weight prairie tractors with lots of working displays.

Mike, I am sure i would enjoy the show, but family commitments prevent much of my tractor freedom. i battle to sneak in 6 hours a month of seat time on my kubota. :)
