1925wont start

My New Holland won't start. Bled fuel at banjo nut on injector pump, injectors, checked continuity on glow plugs, took off return fuel line. Fuel to low pressure end of injector pump ok. Some fuel to injectors through fuel lines,. Could the cut off switch be stuck? When I tapped on injector pump, it sounded like it wanted to start, but would not. Knowledgeable individual thinks it's not getting fuel, nothing coming out of return nipple???

A few questions:
1. Have you done anything different to the tractor since the last time you tried to start it, such as installing a fuel filter?

2. Do you see any smoke coming out of the exhaust when it is turning over? Gray or white smoke will indicate that fuel is getting into the combustion chamber.

3. You indicate that no fuel is coming out of the fuel return line. If you have the line off or loose, try starting the tractor with it on full throttle, so you are pushing the maximum amount of fuel through the injector pump and see if there is any fuel coming out of the return line. If there is no fuel coming out, I would guess your idea of cut off switch or injector pump could be accurate.

Looks like you are in Maryland. The temps in the east have been very mild lately, so you shouldn't have any temperature related problems such as fuel gelling. Unless you were running biodiesel and only tried starting the tractor when the temps were close to freezing.

Let us know what else you can discover with the problem.

On the back side of your injector pump is a round cylinder shaped fuel-cutoff solenoid. It has one spade connector that gets +12vdc when the solenoid is energized. It is grounded through the body where it screws into the injector pump. I would try jumping 12 volts to that solenoid or listen/feel for it to energize when the key is turned on. If that solenoid is not getting power or not working, you will not start the engine.
